Cookie Policy

Last Updated: September 29, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Money OS uses cookies and similar storage technologies to secure your session and optimize application performance.

1. Strictly Necessary Cookies

To maintain user sessions securely across the application and edge proxy, we utilize essential system cookies:

  • Authentication Session Cookies: Set by Clerk and our Next.js edge proxy to cryptographically verify your active user profile, tenant organization, and permissions.
  • Security Parameters: Cookies carry HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite directives to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) and cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
  • Attribution Cookie: A short-lived money_os_utm cookie stores signup referral parameters (UTM tags) exclusively to attribute workspace creation sources upon registration.

2. Product Analytics & Measurement

We use privacy-focused analytics to improve software reliability and performance:

  • PostHog Telemetry: First-party analytics measuring page load performance, feature usage, and workflow bottlenecks without tracking you across third-party websites.
  • Zero Cross-Site Ad Tracking: We do not load Meta pixels, ad retargeting scripts, or third-party marketing network trackers. Your financial records are never monetized or shared.

3. Managing Cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser preferences. Note that blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in or operating within your Money OS workspace.
